The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Police Affairs, has officially debunked a misleading disclaimer issued by the Police Service Commission (PSC) on July 31, 2025.
In a public statement, POLAC clarified that the application process for admission into the 12th Regular Course Degree Programmes remains valid, open, and ongoing. The Academy emphasized that the current admission exercise strictly adheres to the guidelines of the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Federal Ministry of Police Affairs, ensuring transparency and due process.
Contrary to claims by the PSC, the Police Service Commission holds no constitutional authority or role in the admission process of the Nigeria Police Academy. University admissions are governed by established regulatory bodies, not by the PSC. Therefore, the disclaimer circulated by the PSC is legally unfounded and misleading to prospective applicants and the general public.
The Academy has urged all interested candidates to disregard the misleading publication and continue with their application process.
