Mediaplusng.com reports that Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated an AI-powered Tuberculosis (TB) diagnostic machine to the Bwari Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The donation aligns with the national goal to eliminate TB in Nigeria by 2030.
Representing the First Lady at the commissioning ceremony held at Dutse Makaranta Primary Healthcare Centre was the wife of the Kwara State Governor, Mrs. Olufolake Abdulrazaq.
Speaking at the event, the Minister of State for the FCT commended the First Lady’s impactful gesture, noting that the AI diagnostic machine will significantly reduce TB-related mortality rates in the territory. She encouraged residents to take full advantage of the new technology for early detection and timely treatment of tuberculosis.
According to Mediaplusng.com, the minister expressed optimism that with continuous support and collaboration, the FCT could potentially end TB even before the 2030 national target.
