The Rivers State Police Command has declared two top officials of Ahoada-East Local Government Area wanted in connection with the brutal assault on the council’s Sole Administrator, Hon. Goodluck Iheanachor.
The officials—Mr. Hector Ekeakita, Chief Security Officer, and Mr. Aloni Olodi, Chief of Staff—are facing serious allegations including criminal conspiracy, assault occasioning harm, attempted murder, and theft.
According to a statement by SP Grace Iringe-Koko, spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, the attack took place on June 20, 2025, at the Ahoada-East Council Secretariat. Reports allege that a group of about 30 men, led by the suspects, assaulted Hon. Iheanachor, stole sensitive documents and mobile phones, and forcibly obtained his signature before looting both personal and official items from his office.
The victim is currently receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained during the attack.
Despite being formally invited for questioning, both Ekeakita and Olodi have failed to appear. Consequently, Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga A. Adepoju, has issued a public notice declaring the duo wanted.
The Command has urged the suspects to report immediately to the State Police Headquarters on Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, and warned that anyone found harboring or aiding them will face legal consequences.
The police reiterated their commitment to ensuring justice and maintaining law and order across the state.
