The Zonal Engagement Meeting organised by the Senate Ad Hoc Committee on the National Security Summit, in partnership with the Lagos State Government, begins today in Lagos, bringing key security stakeholders together to discuss Nigeria’s growing security challenges.
According to Mediaplusng.com, the meeting attracts top officials from major security agencies. These include the Nigeria Police Force led by the Commissioners of Police from Lagos and Ogun States, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) led by the Sector Commander, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), LASTMA, and the Neighbourhood Watch.
Traditional rulers from the Southwest, especially from Ogun and Oyo States, are also present to share insights on community security and grassroots intelligence gathering. Gani Adams, a prominent Yoruba leader, is also in attendance.
