The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, CON, has invited members of the Council of State and the Police Council to a strategic hybrid meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 9, 2025.
According to a statement by Dr. Emanso Okop Umobong, Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Affairs Office, the meeting will focus on key issues of national importance, particularly security and policing. The discussions are expected to strengthen collaboration among top government officials in addressing challenges facing Nigeria’s governance and internal security systems.
The meeting is set to take place at the Council Chambers, Aso Villa, with members participating either physically or virtually. The session with the Council of State will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by the Police Council meeting at 2:00 pm.
