Vice President Kashim Shettima arrives at the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport in Birnin Kebbi today, accompanied by the Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Zubaida Umar, the Minister of Women Affairs, and other top dignitaries.
According to Mediaplusng.com, the Vice President’s visit follows a directive from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who mandates him to meet the people of Kebbi State and address the developing situation on the ground.
Shettima is also in the state to deliver the President’s message, reassure residents, and show the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting affected communities.
In addition, Mediaplusng.com reports that the Vice President will receive a detailed briefing from state authorities and emergency responders, which he is expected to forward to President Tinubu for further action.
