The United kingdom Is reiterating its commitment to fostering its economic and trade ties with Nigeria through the enhanced trade and investment partnership, ETIP.
Speaking at a news conference , the British high commissioner to Nigeria , Richard Montgomery says the core mandate of the partnership covers areas such as education, Agriculture,financial services,clean energy,digital technology and the creative industry .
Mr Montgomery who hailed the latest report of the world bank says Nigeria is on the path towards economic recovery , thus making it an investment hub for the United Kingdom.
Trade ties between Nigeria and the United Kingdom currently stands at 7. 2 billion pounds .
On Export TARRIFS, the United kingdom is also announcing a tariff free export on three thousand goods from Nigeria.
Some of the products on the list include, cocoa, cashew nuts,prawns and flowers.
While applauding the trade partnership between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, the British high commissioner says exports of Hydrocarbons from the UK to Nigeria has reduced, stressing that t he boost given for local production remains commendable.

Responding to questions bothering on the migration of skilled health care workers to the UK, the bristish high commissioner says the move is to control the influx of persons .
He says over one point six million people moved to the UK in the last two years and sustaining their migration to the UK is not realistic.
While highlighting the fact that the UK population is put at sixty eight million (68) ,Mr Montgomery explains that Nigerians got over ten percent of visa approvals recently .
