Vice President Shettima Leaves Katsina After Mourning Late President Buhari

Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Katsina State for Abuja after spending three days in the state to mourn and pray for the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.

During his stay, the Vice President joined dignitaries from across Nigeria and beyond who gathered to honor the memory of the late president. The solemn event drew national and international figures, including serving and former governors, senators, ministers, members of the House of Representatives, and respected Islamic clerics.

The gathering in Katsina was marked by special prayers and reflections on the leadership and legacy of President Buhari, who served Nigeria as Head of State and later as a two-term civilian president.

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda accompanied Vice President Shettima as he departed for Abuja to participate in a special session of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) convened in honor of the late President.

President Muhammadu Buhari passed away earlier this week, prompting a wave of tributes from across the country and beyond. The federal government has since announced national mourning, with flags flown at half-mast and various memorial events taking place.

Channels Television will continue to provide updates on memorial activities and the FEC special session.
