The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, says no one can expel him from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), stressing that he has been a member since the party’s inception and has significantly contributed to its growth.
According to Mediaplusng.com, Wike reacts to an expulsion notice issued by a faction loyal to Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde. Speaking at a meeting with PDP Board of Trustees and National Executive Council members, Wike says he will not allow those who joined the party after him to undermine its founding members.
“How can those who met me in my house now drag me out? I will never allow it,” Wike declares. He adds that the party has always welcomed new members to become senators and governors, but no one should target those who sacrificed for PDP from the start.
Mediaplusng.com reports that Wike urges party stakeholders to stay strong and united, warning that members who do not support the party’s vision are on their way out. He calls for loyalty, dedication, and the protection of PDP’s legacy.
