England captain and Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has won the 2026 Men’s Ballon d’Or, becoming the first Englishman in 25 years to receive football’s prestigious individual award.
The 33-year-old was announced as the winner at the 70th edition of the ceremony, held at the London Palladium on Monday, October 26.
Kane earned the honour after a remarkable 2025–26 season, scoring 73 goals for club and country. His contributions helped Bayern Munich secure major domestic honours, while he also delivered impressive performances for England.
Kane finished ahead of France captain Kylian Mbappé, who came second, and Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal, who finished third.
The award marks a major milestone in Kane’s career, following years of consistent goalscoring at club and international levels.
He becomes the first English winner since Michael Owen claimed the award in 2001.
Kane also received the Men’s Striker of the Year award, capping a memorable night for the England captain.
