President Bola Ahmed Tinubu says he prayed for wisdom and resilience to continue serving Nigerians after performing the lesser Hajj, Umrah, in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
The President made the remarks after receiving the rare privilege of entering the inner chambers of the Holy Kaaba, one of Islam’s most sacred sites.
Tinubu said he had asked Allah to bless his pilgrimage and grant him the strength and wisdom to continue his responsibilities as Nigeria’s leader.
According to the President, he made a similar spiritual request before the 2023 general elections and returned to Makkah to express gratitude.
“I asked for wisdom and resilience to continue to serve the people, and I know that has been granted. Prior to the 2023 elections, I did the same thing. I asked Allah to bless my Umrah, and He did, and I came back to thank Him,” Tinubu said.
The President’s remarks highlight the spiritual significance he attaches to his pilgrimage and his prayers for divine guidance in discharging his responsibilities.
