Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has called on voters in Ekiti State to deliver between 90 and 95 per cent of their votes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Shettima made the appeal while addressing supporters of the All Progressives Congress at the party’s presidential campaign rally in Ekiti State.
The Vice President urged the people to demonstrate their support for the Tinubu administration at the polls, expressing confidence in the party’s chances in the forthcoming general election.
He argued that the Federal Government had fulfilled its campaign promises to Ekiti State, pointing to the administration’s development commitments as reasons for continued support.
Shettima also assured the people that more developmental projects would come to the state if President Tinubu secures another term in office.
The appeal for between 90 and 95 per cent of the votes underscores the APC leadership’s ambition to secure an overwhelming electoral mandate in Ekiti State.
However, the 2027 election will ultimately be decided by voters through their individual choices at the ballot box.
As political activities gather momentum ahead of the general election, the APC is intensifying its engagement with supporters and appealing to Nigerians to assess the administration’s record, policies and promises.
The challenge for all political parties remains convincing voters through their programmes, performance and vision for the country’s future.
